Do I need a boating license to rent a boat?
No. If you are over 21 years old, we can help qualified renters obtain a temporary boating license after completing our mandatory safety and operational orientation. Temporary licenses are issued in accordance with Transport Canada regulations and standards for rental boat operators.
What types of boats do you rent?
We offer pontoon boat rentals, ski boat rentals. We also rent kayaks, paddle boards, and water toys for all types of lake adventures on beautiful Shuswap Lake.
Are lifejackets included?
Yes. All required safety equipment and lifejackets are included with your rental. We carry lifejackets in sizes ranging from newborn to 5XL. We also carry dog life jackets.
Are water toys included with rentals?
Yes. Boat rentals include 3 complimentary water toys such as tubes, kneeboards, or wakeboards to help you enjoy your time on the water.
Can we bring pets on the boats?
Yes. We are pet-friendly and well-behaved pets are welcome on many of our rental boats. A non-refundable pet fee is need it ($50 per boat)
How many people fit on the rental boats?
Our pontoon boats can accommodate between 12 and 14 passengers depending on the model. Our ski boats seat up to 8 passengers.
What should I bring for my rental?
We recommend bringing sunscreen, towels, swimsuits, snack, drinks, sunglasses, and appropriate lake clothing. Our marina store also carries many summer essentials and boating accessories.

Shuswap Marina is located in Blind Bay, BC, on beautiful Shuswap Lake, directly across from Copper Island.
Is fuel included with rentals?
Fuel is not included in the rental pricing. Boats are provided with fuel and customers are responsible for fuel used during the rental period.
Can beginners rent a boat?
Absolutely. Our staff provides a practical orientation and safety demonstration before departure to help renters feel comfortable operating the boat.
Do you offer multi-day rentals?
Yes. We offer daily and multi-day rentals to help you fully enjoy your Shuswap Lake vacation experience.
Do your boats have Bluetooth stereos?
Yes, our rental boats include Bluetooth stereo systems, bimini tops, and other comfort features. Specific features vary by boat model.
Is there a damage deposit required?
Yes. A damage deposit is required at the start of the rental. Deposit is $2500 per boat by credit card. A pre authorization is need it before taking the boat.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If unsafe weather conditions occur, please contact our team to discuss available options regarding your booking.
Can I swim from the rental boat?
Yes. Swimming, relaxing, sightseeing, and watersports are some of the best ways to enjoy your rental experience on Shuswap Lake. Just make sure engines are shut off before any swimming.
Do you offer wakeboarding and tubing?
Yes. Our ski boats and pontoon boats are perfect for tubing, wakeboarding, kneeboarding, and family watersports activities.
Can I visit Copper Island with a rental?
Yes. Copper Island is one of the most popular destinations on Shuswap Lake and is located directly across from our marina. You can drive around but please know there are no docks for boats in Copper Island.
Is parking available at the marina?
Yes. Parking is available for customers visiting Shuswap Marina.
Do you offer rentals for large groups or families?
Yes. Our pontoon rentals are ideal for large groups, family outings, celebrations, and lake days with friends.
